Upload a photo and our AI background remover detects the main subject and cuts it out automatically — no manual masking, no Photoshop skills needed. Works well on people, products, animals, and clearly-defined objects against a reasonably distinct background. Accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, TIFF, and AVIF, and always outputs a transparent PNG you can preview before downloading. The AI processing itself runs entirely on our own servers using an open-source segmentation model — your image is never sent to a third-party AI service for analysis. The resulting file is briefly stored via Cloudinary so your download link stays reliable, then deleted automatically.

Getting the best result

  • Good lighting and a subject that contrasts clearly against its background give the cleanest edges
  • Very cluttered scenes, or a subject that blends into the background in color, are genuinely harder for any automatic tool — expect some rough edges there
  • Flat vector graphics or logos (as opposed to photos) aren't what this model was built for — it's tuned for photographic subjects like people, products, and animals
  • If an edge comes out imperfect, the file is a normal PNG you can touch up in any image editor afterward
